K-Pop I currently love~

I've been in Korean music land recently.
In fact, I have almost lost all grasp as to what is popular right now in America. XD I have a preference for dance/pop songs, so there is a lot to offer in that genre on the Korean music scene! Here are a few videos of songs that I love right now.
Run Devil Run - Girl's Generation (also SNSD or 소녀시대)

Here We Go - Super Junior (슈퍼주니어)

And
Innisfree Day by 윤아 (Yoona)

Daily Post Fifty-One: I'm going to be a high schooler. Tomorrow.

0_0
I'm going to wake up tomorrow morning, get on the bus, and go to the high school. Then I'm going to go to class there, eat lunch there, talk to my friends there, and go home. And this is going to continue for the next four years. This fact sorta kinda blows my mind. Despite this being mind-blowing, I'm really very excited for high school. I don't know quite what to expect, and all I've heard for certain is that it will be "different". So I'm setting my sights on making this year the most loli one :3 I've got all of my school supplies all decorated up (save for a few, but I'll have to get to them later) and I have my first day outfit all laid out.
And, duh, I have pictures.
My notecard box (this guy usually stays at home, though)
My planner, which I'm super lucky I found because it's my favorite color :3
This is my accordian folder, and I swear to god it's acually purple. But for some reason it appears blue 0_o
A Hello Kitty binder I decorated <3 This by far my favorite thing.
My math binder~
Two notebooks that I laid a huge piece of lace over~
My math notebook~
And two notebooks that I don't even have to decorate~
And finally, here is my outfit to tomorrow:
Rundown:
Shirt: forever 21
Socks: Urban Outfitters
Bow & Skirt: Made by me
Shoes (not shown): either macy's or double decker

Daily Post Fifty: Fall is Approaching!

I love love love fall.
The crisp cool morning air, the beautiful leaves swirling from the treetops, the wonderful apple cider and pumpkin pie.. And one thing I really love about fall is that it cools down enough to wear regular lolita! I get tired of having to omit a petticoat or not being able to wear a caplet I love just because it's hot outside.
I decided to make a list of things I love doing in the fall!
  • I love wearing sweaters and scarves. I tend to get really cold during the day, and it warms me right up! I have an amazing Gap scarf that I love, and I wear it all the time in the fall.
  • I love to drink lots of apple cider! It's healthier than apple juice, and it tastes better! The easiest place to find apple cider is at a farmer's market or "organic" stores like Whole Foods.
  • I love to go picking pumpkins! I know Halloween seems far away, but I still love going out and picking pumpkins~
  • I love curling up with a good book, especially a classic. This fall I plan to read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
  • I love to listen to some new music that reminds me of fall~

Daily Post Fourty- Nine: Lolita Ideals Part I

This isn't going to be an article about feeling good about yourself.
I've read plenty of magnificent articles on the subject by many magnificent lolita bloggers, but that is not what I am writing about today. Today, I'm writing about how the personal ideals for a lolita differ so greatly from your "average" girl. At camp recently, I have come in close experience with how normal girls want to be. I had a ton of time to talk about these kind of things with my friends there, and two very interesting ideals showed themselves clearly to me.
The first ideal that a normal girl has that a lolita does not is striving to have a perfect tan. I heard endless chatter about how much the girls had tanned, what their tan lines were like, and how they wanted to improve their tans. As a redhead, I find tanning rather useless normally, but I also do as a lolita. Myself, like many other lifestylers, try to dress more modestly, even outside of lolita. (By modestly, I generally mean wearing longer shorts and tops without a low cut) I find that when I dress in some sort of casual lolita every day, it doesn't matter if I have a great bathing suit tan, because I'm all covered! Even disregarding the dispute on whether or not lolitas need to be pale, I find that tanning is the least priority for a lolita, opposed to the highest priority for a normal girl.

Daily Post Forty-Seven: Meringue and Scott Pilgrim!

I invited a few friends over for a mini loli meetup.
We made lilac meringue and then went to see Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (it was incredbily awesome and I suggest going to see it right away)!
All I have are pictures of making meringue, so here are a few!
Mixing, and mixing...
The finished prouduct! They don't look too purple on the outside,
But inside they were a really pretty lavender!
They were super delish and the movie was really epic, so it's needless to say that I had a great time today!

Daily Post Fourty- Five: Deco Things!

Along with making macarons the other day, we deco'd some things.

My fan I got in Paris~
The tin I use to store kandi and silly bandz~
A freebie compact mirror that I got from a hair salon, which the goal was to make it look like the Barbie jewelry that I had as a child (I wish I hadn't thrown that stuff out...)
My mirrored aviator sunglasses that I love, and now I love them even more~
My wig hairbrush~
And lastly the mirror that I use to look at the back of my hair XD I made it in a circle to cover up the sticker glue that was stuck there >_<

Daily Post Forty- Three: Back From Camp!

I got back from camp yesterday!
I forgot how much I missed lolita over my time at camp. I try to stick to plain t-shirts and shorts at camp, which always feels weird to me at the beginning of the term at camp, but towards the end I start to get used to my "camp uniform". Time has really shown that I really do love loli a lot, and I'm just as in love with it as I was when I first discovered it. Wow, now I just sound like an annoying girlfriend.
Anyway, I decided to get right back up on the horse and get to some sewing today, using the fabric that my mom got for me in Philly while I was gone (10 yards of blue gingham o_0) So here is a picture of the skirt I made!
It's kind of plain, but I'm planning on adding to it soon~
Well, I'm really tired, so I'm going to end here.
