Very Detailed Bodyline Review!

My bodyline stuff came in on Monday!
I got three items, and I took tons and tons of pictures.
Shipping/Packaging: I ordered on Thursday (The 9th) and it arrived Monday (the 13th) I didn't take pictures of the packaging because I was very excited to open it, but it came in a white cardboard box that was slightly damaged. Inside, there was my friend's tote bag on top, then the shoes, wrapped in tissue paper, and the clothes in red plastic Bodyline envelopes. I knew that the packaging is usually done this way, so no surprises.
Cardigan: Item ****** in off white- $19
Full View of Cardigan. It is a very light flannel sort of fabric, and it's slightly see through, but not very much so. It's not terribly warm, about the weight of regular long sleeve shirt. It's very soft and comfortable. The sizing was very accurate: on the website it lists the measurements as 34.5 in, *******
The sleeve: As you can see, it's a puff sleeve with a straight sleeve attached and a ruffle with lace and a ribbon bow at the end.
Detail of the bodice: Scalloped edges and a flower lace.
The bow at the end of the sleeve: the ribbon, the same as the closure in the front, it is velvety on one side and sort of satiny on the other.
The flower lace seemed fine to me, it's not shiny or scratchy.
The only flaw is a light blue line on the inside seam, which I presume is chalk of some sort. I also assume that it will go away in the wash.
Finally, it worn:

Next, we have the Fairy From Forest Jumperskirt Item ******* In Sax - $31

I don't have a full view of this, but the stock photo is almost exact to the item, so it is easy to see the full view there. First, we have the detial of the bodice:
(My computer is currently refusing to rotate this)
Here you can see detial of the top of the print, as well as the halter-style straps. It hooks in the back with to small hook-and-eye clasps that keep the lapels down neatly. The lapels themselves are made of a slightly satin-y fabric that is different than most of the dresses. It isn't overly shiny, which is really nice especially for such an inexpensive dress.
A closeup of the bodice lace and lacing. It matches the lace on the detachable bow, and the lacing is lined with flower lace that is the same as the type on the cardigan above.
The lace isn't exactly amazing, but it isn't itchy or glaringly shiny.
Now, we move on to the border print~ It's three different scenes:
One scene of a girl sitting and holding balloons,
The same girl chasing her hat which was stolen by some birds! Oh no!
And the girl throwing flowers in the air!

Back view with the wait ties...
The end of the waist tie has lace and a ribbon at the end~
Here's the very bottom of the print and some detail of the lace.
And finally, some detail of the backs of the detachable bows. I will probably sew the small one to the front of the dress and make the large into a headbow, so the quality of the pins matters little to me. But I thought others would find it useful!
ALSO DO NOT IRON THE LACE ON THE DRESS. IT MELTS.
Part 2 coming sometime when I feel like it~

  1. I think I am buying the pink version of this jsk, it looks a lot like the Love Nadia and I loved that print.
Thank you for the review, it was useful ^_^
I never had problems with BL lace, I just iron it with no major problems, in fact O_O

  2. You should, it's super cute :3 Sure! I'm glad it was useful!
This is actually the first bodyline piece I've had problems with the lace with! Most of their stuff won't melt, but this kind did and it was terrifying! D:
